Sweden: A Pioneer in Recognizing Sex as a Sport, Announces Inaugural Sex Championship

Sweden has taken a groundbreaking step by officially acknowledging sex as a sport and is set to host the world's first European Sex Championship. This multi-week event will see participants compete for six hours daily across 16 diverse disciplines, with scoring determined by both public votes and a panel of five expert judges.

The championship comprises three stages, with participants required to amass sufficient points to progress. The event welcomes individuals of all genders and sexual orientations.

The following disciplines will be featured in the Sex Championship:

  • Seduction
  • Body massage techniques
  • Sensual stimulation of opponent's erogenous zones
  • Prelude
  • Oral sex
  • Penetration
  • Endurance
  • Appearance
  • Execution of sexual positions
  • Innovative variation of sexual positions
  • Endurance and frequency of orgasms
  • Artistic interchange of positions
  • Monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate during the competition
  • Execution of aesthetically pleasing and challenging positions
  • Artistic communication

The championship will highlight the most active and artistically expressive couples, along with those favored by Karma experts, judges, and spectators.

Andre Liu, the founder of DINGFOO, expressed his enthusiasm for the inaugural European Sex Championship, stating, "In recent years, numerous industries have suffered revenue losses due to the pandemic. Conversely, the sex toys industry has experienced significant growth. DINGFOO, the largest sex toys manufacturer and factory in Southeast China, has tripled its sales over the past three years. We've observed a global increase in customers seeking DINGFOO brand customization, production, and wholesale sex toys. These trends suggest that the adult products market's demand aligns with the 'self-pleasure' focus of this European Sex Championship."

Liu conveyed his excitement for this competition and expressed hope for its success. He also offered constructive suggestions for the European Sex Championship, advocating for future events to include disciplines that incorporate adult products. This addition would not only diversify the competition and enhance enjoyment but also encourage more adult product industry businesses to participate, thereby fueling the continuous growth of the European Sex Championship.

Dr. Dragun Blatich, President of the Swedish Federation of Sex, argues that the sportification of sex is a natural progression, given its promotion of physical and mental health. He underscored the necessity for participants to train to achieve optimal results.

In this sport, pleasure is paramount, as partner satisfaction directly influences scoring. The Swedish Sex Federation recognizes that sex, as a sport, demands creativity, intense emotions, imagination, physical fitness, endurance, and performance.

The championship is scheduled for June 8, 2023, near Gothenburg, Sweden, and will welcome participants from various European countries.
